HA-BE'S SUPERHYDROPHOBIC TECHNOLOGY
3 Step Technology & 5-Fold Protection
As concrete is often exposed to aggressive environments, it is necessary to protect it from degradation and deterioration. Protective treatments for concrete are available for almost any degree of protection required. Therefore, every product manufactured by Ha-Be is formulated to render a certain performance under specified conditions. Our PROTECT line prevents deterioration of concrete surfaces by industrial airborne chemicals, inhibit soiling of surfaces, facilitate cleaning of surfaces, accentuate the colour of aggregate and mortar in exposed-aggregate architectural concrete, and avoid colour change of surfaces when wet.
With our PROTECT line, we offer high performance surface protection systems of varied chemical composition, designed to restore, protect, and transform concrete surfaces, adding beauty, function, and value to any indoor or outdoor space.
WHAT DOES 5-FOLD PROTECTION MEAN AND INCLUDE?
All our PROTECT products provide a reliable solution for durable concrete protection against substances attempting to penetrate into the concrete’s structure. Free of damages and easy to clean, the concrete is protected in five ways.
HOW TO PROTECT CONCRETE?
To minimise damages and defects caused by environmental conditions, chemical and physical attacks, the concrete needs to be protected from the ingress of water, chlorides and other harmful water-borne chemicals. Furthermore, concrete’s ability to resist physical and chemical attacks and to cope with environmental conditions needs to be increased.
In short: concrete requires a permanent and effective protection against water, oil and grease.
1 CONCEPT, 3 STEPS & 5-FOLD PROTECTION
The concept starts with analysing concrete’s properties, microstructure and packing density. According to the obtained and evaluated results, concrete’s microstructure is optimised and the concrete prepared for generating a hydrophobic structure and thus preventing capillary absorption of water by the concrete. The subsequent sealing of concrete’s surface further protects against physical and chemical attacks, completing the holistic PROTECT concept for concrete protection.
